Dearest family and friends, thank you for your support and love over the past two years...my dad passed away peacefully yesterday morning with his family by his side. We held a beautiful Japanese Buddhist service at his home in the afternoon and then went on his favorite beach walk at Imperial Beach in San Diego, collecting sand, shells, and wild flowers for a small memorial at the house. The day was filled with wonderful memories, sadness, calm, and relief that he was finally in a more peaceful place. We'll hold a family ceremony at the San Diego Buddhist Temple next Saturday morning.
