It's a busy Taipei day off - off to Spirox and On at FWS - Wedsneday morning, spend the entire morning with Su Hui , not only tell him how to construct .the web, but a brief education of what Executive Coach is and how YPO Forum can apply to the corporate world? the time worst spending I guess. as least, we have a template and some content generate already.
Lunch with Steven Lin at Tien Chung house - a restaurant run by Roger - the owner of KO before, I havn't been there for sometimes and decided to invite Steve over for lunch. this is for the compensation of not able to attend the Celimi Workshop he co-run with Vincent - the consultanting firm owner who I am not in found of. curiostly about what the relations between them, the answer is they are strategic partner, Steven specilize on Strategic, and Vincent is good at devleoping training or consulting tools. so. this is. Steve asked me a few question and focus on one start up company he is not acting as CSO and CFO, an Industrial Design House which come out of the iPad Moat - a great design and look, I really love it. and I decided to follow what they are doing and see the team next Monday. to be honest, I will buy the iPad2 because of the Moat.
Another 2 hours with Eric Tseng, my YPO good friend, we set up the appoinmtment at Starbuck on CID building, it's too noizy so I brought him up to our office for an indepth talk, about his issue and issue in Forum, thank God I really can deliver, Eric feel much better after the talk and he drove me to my next meeting with Michael and Yen - i_Peer, Eric drove a Mazda car himself, I respect his down to earth attitude whenever others take him at the target to humiliate. I honor him and will keep the friendship as long as I can, planning time to see him and John at the new company, he raise another 200 millions for the company and now he is thinking the way out and do what he love.. spent more time with me is what he mentions. well, if I may. I will help him sign up for the comong 3rd Mandairn Forum - or maybe I should take the initaive from next round.
a Peer's meeting is very non productive, maybe this is how the music industry going to the end end. or I left too long, taking control of the meeting and get the reuslt down in 50 minutes.. yes, this is what I did and then hand it over to Yan and it drag for another one hours with no productivity.. yes, this is, I should be careful about how to help this company.
Home and finsish the Somthing Lord knows with Meiling, Vivien Thomas's story is really and inspring one , at 30 to 60 in the United States, a colored win the honor from Johns Hopkins means something. keep you passion and love what you do, this is how the HBO film taught me.

Identify Truth and False
David H called my up around 11:40 am and asked for a 20 minutes meeting, this is the action follow what he asked about my training program the night before. I pick up my notebook and enter his office.
yes, the flower decoration is different now, more elegent, and he still bail him way out of why he rather stayed in the office instead of ondering around, all the CEO / Chairman can easily rationalize his cause in what he favors. I am not here for debating, so, I am acting listening, only listening.
David asked about my plan - be a consultant / trainer of my own or to join any corp and return professional job. I response with the independant way, then he talked about the chance to work with Spirox as coach or consultant under the condition that Spriox executives ( James, Jacky..) is interested and avaliable for the coaching program.
David is right about the approach, first you have to let the coachee know this is a mental Yoga - it's strench your heart and soul, but not comfortable and you have to commite to, ths is a good selling point for me - to apply to other candidate. but I am not favor with following 2 suggestion:
1. join other training firm as guest trainer and have them to introduce client. the 2 persons he mentioned are from HP.
2. AS a regular trainer provide training cause to Spirox. for this, I will take it as the overall consulting package, if not favorable, I won't take it as the return it too low for me.
then he direct to the focal point, how he going to compensate at ,Spriox, I don't really care , to be honesty, but I will calculate in my heart, this is what everyone will do - I still recall what he said, if the overall compensation can't reach 2 millions NT. he will make it up from his own pocket, a very ugly person he is, he wipe out all the words he said and simply address how he going to do following company rule. I am fine, really, but won't treat him as friend anymore. anymore. if for this minor support , he reluctant to grant, what friendship is? a very terrible and practial person.

Going to 2 second run movie at Cha Cha - they are awful, really. the only benefit is the title " Something Bothered " it give my idea about designing a " Deepening connection " theme. the only good value from last night.

CID CSR move into new office
Celine do have the fortune enjoy new facility, been drifting for one year, csr Community manage to connect with another rich Dad - C.I.D. Group and now they share office with another CIO co-investing firm.
Sep. 22nd marks the day CSR community re-statement, I was there for the purpose of seeing old friend and to be the cheer leader again. It's good to be connected and to be embraced by those familier face.
Tung Haw Tungtex Building 27th floor is where csr located now. I bought a new notebook while stop over at Taipei Railroad Station. Celine text me that everyone is ready. jump on the taxi, I check in the new office by 11:15 am.
a private office accomodate for Hochen was there, and yes, I may take advantage of this private office from time to time, Jay and Kim welcomes me and I saw some friend and client and the pizza lunch was great, as Hochen said at the Pizza session : Don't under estimate what Celine said, she always play the game of hidden agenda. so the free lunch turn to be a high intellence cross fire, between client and consultant and I am so excited about the idea exchange session. Cheng Hugh and professor ? were great guy, not to mention our mentor and supporter Mr. Hochen.
See YS before home. the changed relationship might develop to a difference road ahead. I am puzzling.
home with family and had an idea of going to the movie " Wu Xiah ", check the critic / comment over the net and decided not to go, we decided to stay home and watch the cooking show : Hell's kitchen instead.
mountain climbing to Sheng Chi Yeng becoming a good routine, woke up by 6:30 am as usual and get ready for the hiking and probabely enjoy the breakfast at Hung Jane. take the different road down the hill and found Hung Jane breakfast shop is on holiday. with the little note on the door " We are going for summer vacation and the store will re-open at July 26th " the hard working owner finally take a vacation, a surprise to me and a little bit disappointment for not able to enjoy the good breakfast after the mountain climbing.
Going for the eel rice lunch after the good body massage, and decided to give myself a rest at one desert restaurant, having a good cup of Latte and read the book I brought with : Happiness - The history. a very ambitiocious book but easy to digest, I love the book. around 2:00 pm, check in the MOMA Taipei and got myself hurt by a nail. the art piece outside wasn't setting well, the contructor didn't do the right job and cause my left leg angle blooding. never mind.
Enjoy another TV movie with Sound and Meiling at home - Relicence of assisans.. it should be a better one than Wu Xiah.
Sunday is the day Sound begin his summer school and returning day to Putai. we got ready for a good picnic in advance. buying drinks at Starbucks and lunch boxes from the mall next. this is the first long journey to take VW Passat cc on the road. it's quite comfortable. as we begin our trip much earlier than the school bus. so, stop over at Chin Sui rest area for 4 hours, Sound finish his animation books and we have a good rest there.
Return Taipei after the mutton feast at Xi Hu county, we miss it for many times. so, this time, I use GPS to identify the exact location, arrived by 8:30 pm and arrived to Hsin Chu by 11: 30 pm.
little thing to do on Monday also, moving back to studio and finish the PPS movie : Hurricane " a great film, boxing with hate and free up with Love, the message is so strong, it doesn't matter if Carter committ the murder, but the racisim is a wrong doing - after 30 years..
Calling Meiling home for the Churchill bio : Into the Storm, a HBO production movie, this is my second viewing and it punch me as hard and first time. great guy and great mind.

Efficency and Effectiveness
Effctivenss is greater than efficient, it's like compass is more important than clock, you better know where to go before walk with full speed, otherwise, the efficenct will only lead you to a wrong destination - quicker. this is how I found Executives puzzles these day, however, CEO owns the rights to intepretate what's important and hold the key to determine how the corporate resource should be allocate and distribute.. this is the key question, think.
Efficiency and Effectiveness

Spirox office is a very quite place to me, I don't connect with people, locked my door in my cubical and doing my own things, it make me felt a " Why should I stayed here ? " thinking, seeing all the people busy outside, just like standing outside a big department store and the window shopping show is going on, I am standing outside, a guest or visitor.
So I decided to move myself out of the office, at the lunch time, pack with 2 files of document, taking the elevator down, with my instinct, David H in the elevator all swear out, he is fancy about exercise now, climbing steps almost everyday, I think... anyway, going back to my studio. and decided to go out to see the world.. move myself to Eslite book shop, buying a fews great note books, this part is the focus of my day.. some for me, and some for the gift on September.
morning time set up my appointment in Mid Aug. secure Dinner with Doctor Yang in the evening of 15th, James Sung for late drink on the 14th in HK hotel, Breakfast with James Wei on 17th and see Robert Quio on the 17th as well. it will be a very busy week for me.
Coming up with good scheduling and monthly calendar is important for me, no assitant and no administror, doing every thing my way and myself. yes, this is productive, right?
Mater Chef is a good cooking program to watch and learn. Star World is a great entertainment channle, no matter how Mudour will ending his media empire, we were feed with good content , right. the show please not only me, but Sound. a teenage love it. a boy enjoy watch with his parent, not easy.

Vincent, Sound and Kenting
I decided to bring Sound to Kenting are for 2 reasons: number one, a compensation to his summer holiday, kids should spend time somewhere near the nature during the summer, number two, to compensate my last period in Spirox and reconnect to Kenting , Kenting is one of rare places I will repeating visit, to me, it's out of the country - tropical weather, nice people, sun, sea and full of relaxing air.
Sound is too old to travelling with me, yes, the routine and habit develop from a teenage point of view, I might be too old school, so this trip make a " Father and Son " reunion in a compromise manner. so, maybe from next trip, I should either go alone or brought Meiling with me but to do things I really want to do, and can be done alone.
2 days before the scheduled trip. Sound and I have a little bit quarrel, so, I don't know if he will join the crew. finally, we make it up the night before. taking the 11:30 am HRS to Cho Ying - Kaoshung station is the beginning of our journey. just call Vincent for arranging everything - and the risk is -- turn out can be nothing, but this is our plan, as we boarding on the train, Sound asked me : What's the plan for next 3 days, my answer it : No plan, we just follow what Vincent take us. I read the Psychology apply to modern life on the train, Sound working on HTC games and we arrived by 13:06 , Vincent arrange car pick up for us, but I didn't expect it will be a TAXI. the driver asked my where the " B&B " is? well, I have no idea, he have to call the contact and confirm the B&B we are going to stay the first night is : One bite to Apple -- yes, he drove crazy fast and we arrived at the nowhere land in 90 minutes.. Apply ( in short ) located in a country yard, 5 minutes drive to Nan Wan - the surfing paradise, but in the old community, this is one of the few B&B , if you want to tell your friend where you are, the reference point is : Yu Ting Motel...
We arrived 30 minutes earlier than Vincent's expecation, he is doing house keeping still, we push the door in, it's a great place, interior and style well represent who Vincent is, Visual Graphic genius , designer and a great person who think living is much important than working..after he clean up the floor, we sit down and reconnect to what he did for the past 2 years after leaving Yahoo..He go to China and got offer to work in Beijing, but he really love Kenting , so relocate to Kenting for the first 6 months, buying time to persude his parent that this is the life he want to spent and wish to create a business of his own in southern part of Taiwan..for the first 6 months, he tried to identify chance to be owner of B&B, but it didn't turn to reality, so, instead, he co-invest with a legend they called " Second Brother - Er Ger ", they set up a company and build their own tourist yacht. middle size which may accomodate 8 person on board. a great idea to begin, they shiping in the part of the body and re-assemble in Taiwan. however, the operation plan delay for one year, yes, licence and many many beauracy work to handle.. so, he need to survive : for the preparation year, this is what he did : tour guy for HK group.. selling beverage on weekend at his friend mobile pizza trunk.. and recurit from Ann Lee's team for a part time Graphic designer on the coming film " Pi's driffering story " last winter, until this SPRING, the dream of owing a B&B come ture. " Apple " is the firt 4 bad rooms he inheriate and remodels in March and just start to operation this summer.
Vincent's ship should be ready anytime next month, I will be invited and he will need a barter to handle the B&B issue and relocate himslef to the brand new business, sailing and surfing. the is the short story about Vincent in last 2 years and Swallow - the lady next to him is his girl friend. a stylist who crazy about Kenting and wish to become a Wedding Planner in Kenting. they now live together. she works part time at one Main Street vendor at night on every Friday / Saturday / Sunday and Monday.
BTW, the first guest who came to Apple is our So-net colleage - Zuvvone / Ivan / Perry, they not only be the honor guest, but help to finish the detail of the house one night before opening. Zuvvone open a cafe in Tainai, I want to see it, maybe next week.
Our first stop for the trip is to check the currency at Nan Wan Bay - the surfers' heaven, the weather is not good these, this is why Vincent call with a very politely way day before we go. however, we only ( I only ) want to be here, so beat it. yes, the wave / tide is too unstable. I gave up the first evening and then move to the Travel Box for drinks - run by Vincent's friend - Ah Shin - a lady surfer who doing her own things in Kenting. the Beach House owned by Er Ger is next door. I ordered the Latte and Sound have himself bannan / vinilla milk shake. and we talked about surf and life in Kenting, then come a mini-van.. Vincent wave hand to the driver and told us that is the " Pizza Van " and we are going to have dinner there.
The Pizza Van run by another friend of Vincent - Ivan, a surfer himself who was a programmer by professon, give up the 8 years coding life, he begin his dream of a chef and started the mobile pizza van business in Kenting 2 years ago. Vincet recognize his achievement and shared with me that Ivan just bought a house in Hung Chun for 5.3 millions NT and now doing a renovation, it face a big park and gonna be a great house then. the pizza is good, when we sat at the Beach House earlier, there's girl getting off the van - her name is Sarah, another Taipei turn Kenting girl who is helping prepare the pizza stuff earlier... this is the eco system in Kenting - they work for surfing and surfing for life.. I asked Ivan the record for pizza sold one night, he said : 300 , if I times 250 @piece come to 75.000 NT - that's the hi season when the Spring Scream took place., the average is between 80 - 100 per night. if we take 80 for average and times 25 days, the revenue is 500.000 NT. not a bad business.
No plan for the night, we go back straight to Apple and enjoy our first B&B night. the rate for Apple : week day : 2000@room, 8000@house, weekend 2500@room, 10.000@house. we are the only guest there and Vincet offer a 50% discount to us..Wifi and Cable TV set up become standard at B&B, Sound and I watch an old PPS movie, I falling asleep by 11:30 pm.
Day 2.
I woke up as usual, 6:30 am and begin my walking around morning, take the main way south, I came across many different B&B, my conclusion : if you saw a house painting with differt colors or shape, you may take it as a B&B, Vincent told me there are more than 700 B&B in Kenting, if you take average 8 rooms per house, the total supply is more than 5600 rooms. it's a overly supply market but you hardly can get a room duirng peak season or weekend. some of the B&B I visit this morning is too colorful to be maintainance, the colorful piece without proper maintence easly go decay or rotton... this is my intepretation. Vincetn don't want to fall in a stereo style. this is a good approach. with alignment to his yatch business but not to turn the house a deck or dock..take an one hour walk and return home for the breakfast session.
Vincent came for picking up to a greate breakfast place - Orange.. yes, the business is so good and we exchange idea about what kind of food will be welcome here even during the low season? what come to my mind is the grill hamburge. another craze idea. I even encourge Meiling convincing Kirk consider moving to Kenging and begin his new life with sun. beach and maybe significant others.
We check the tide, no good for surfing also, Vincent drove us to a few scenic spot where normally we will not go - Lung Peng is a great place to view the ocean, a slope of ocean and clean sea.. and the shallow basin of grass, so beautiful...we asked Vincet drop us off at the National Auquirum and we may take a rest and having him working on his staff.. stayed for 3 hours, enjoy Starbuck and Vincet came to pick up us by 3:00 pm.
Tide is not good still, we move forward to our second home - Kenting Bay - such a beautiful B&B, open your door, you see the beach in front and a private shore for you. what a nature gift.. we thanks for Vincent's spend time identified such a great resort for us. and we decided to take a rest before dinner.
dinner at mainstreet with Vincent and Swallow. the night event is what Vincent survey for us - the night National Park Eco tour.. after dinner, we went to Travel Box waiting for Yoyo and ? - the 2 bartler from Beach House. 5 of us join the crew for the nature exploration. Sher Ting Park is where we began our venture.. a lot of frog , saw some snake and the beautiful Chi Pen Cha tree flowers.. the little girl who accompany with and walk on the tail of the crew is so knowledgeable, she can explain thing much detail and clear than the old guide. we are lucky to have her behind us.. a great resource indeed, I asked Vincent to keep her contact, she can be a great resouce for us next time.
ECO tour took about 90 minute. went back to Kenting Bay and do nothing.....
Day 3
wake up as usual, enjoy the private beach myself and pick up one shell,, as gift for Meiling.
Returning room and watch PPS film " Things God ? " a great HBO production. Vivien is turly a genuis color hero win our respect even today. I am so inspired. wake Sound up and took our bus back to Cho Ying station, got on 2:30 pm HRS to Tapei, we arrived home by 4:30..
Sound is too old to travelling with me, yes, the routine and habit develop from a teenage point of view, I might be too old school, so this trip make a " Father and Son " reunion in a compromise manner. so, maybe from next trip, I should either go alone or brought Meiling with me but to do things I really want to do, and can be done alone.
2 days before the scheduled trip. Sound and I have a little bit quarrel, so, I don't know if he will join the crew. finally, we make it up the night before. taking the 11:30 am HRS to Cho Ying - Kaoshung station is the beginning of our journey. just call Vincent for arranging everything - and the risk is -- turn out can be nothing, but this is our plan, as we boarding on the train, Sound asked me : What's the plan for next 3 days, my answer it : No plan, we just follow what Vincent take us. I read the Psychology apply to modern life on the train, Sound working on HTC games and we arrived by 13:06 , Vincent arrange car pick up for us, but I didn't expect it will be a TAXI. the driver asked my where the " B&B " is? well, I have no idea, he have to call the contact and confirm the B&B we are going to stay the first night is : One bite to Apple -- yes, he drove crazy fast and we arrived at the nowhere land in 90 minutes.. Apply ( in short ) located in a country yard, 5 minutes drive to Nan Wan - the surfing paradise, but in the old community, this is one of the few B&B , if you want to tell your friend where you are, the reference point is : Yu Ting Motel...
We arrived 30 minutes earlier than Vincent's expecation, he is doing house keeping still, we push the door in, it's a great place, interior and style well represent who Vincent is, Visual Graphic genius , designer and a great person who think living is much important than working..after he clean up the floor, we sit down and reconnect to what he did for the past 2 years after leaving Yahoo..He go to China and got offer to work in Beijing, but he really love Kenting , so relocate to Kenting for the first 6 months, buying time to persude his parent that this is the life he want to spent and wish to create a business of his own in southern part of Taiwan..for the first 6 months, he tried to identify chance to be owner of B&B, but it didn't turn to reality, so, instead, he co-invest with a legend they called " Second Brother - Er Ger ", they set up a company and build their own tourist yacht. middle size which may accomodate 8 person on board. a great idea to begin, they shiping in the part of the body and re-assemble in Taiwan. however, the operation plan delay for one year, yes, licence and many many beauracy work to handle.. so, he need to survive : for the preparation year, this is what he did : tour guy for HK group.. selling beverage on weekend at his friend mobile pizza trunk.. and recurit from Ann Lee's team for a part time Graphic designer on the coming film " Pi's driffering story " last winter, until this SPRING, the dream of owing a B&B come ture. " Apple " is the firt 4 bad rooms he inheriate and remodels in March and just start to operation this summer.
Vincent's ship should be ready anytime next month, I will be invited and he will need a barter to handle the B&B issue and relocate himslef to the brand new business, sailing and surfing. the is the short story about Vincent in last 2 years and Swallow - the lady next to him is his girl friend. a stylist who crazy about Kenting and wish to become a Wedding Planner in Kenting. they now live together. she works part time at one Main Street vendor at night on every Friday / Saturday / Sunday and Monday.
BTW, the first guest who came to Apple is our So-net colleage - Zuvvone / Ivan / Perry, they not only be the honor guest, but help to finish the detail of the house one night before opening. Zuvvone open a cafe in Tainai, I want to see it, maybe next week.
Our first stop for the trip is to check the currency at Nan Wan Bay - the surfers' heaven, the weather is not good these, this is why Vincent call with a very politely way day before we go. however, we only ( I only ) want to be here, so beat it. yes, the wave / tide is too unstable. I gave up the first evening and then move to the Travel Box for drinks - run by Vincent's friend - Ah Shin - a lady surfer who doing her own things in Kenting. the Beach House owned by Er Ger is next door. I ordered the Latte and Sound have himself bannan / vinilla milk shake. and we talked about surf and life in Kenting, then come a mini-van.. Vincent wave hand to the driver and told us that is the " Pizza Van " and we are going to have dinner there.
The Pizza Van run by another friend of Vincent - Ivan, a surfer himself who was a programmer by professon, give up the 8 years coding life, he begin his dream of a chef and started the mobile pizza van business in Kenting 2 years ago. Vincet recognize his achievement and shared with me that Ivan just bought a house in Hung Chun for 5.3 millions NT and now doing a renovation, it face a big park and gonna be a great house then. the pizza is good, when we sat at the Beach House earlier, there's girl getting off the van - her name is Sarah, another Taipei turn Kenting girl who is helping prepare the pizza stuff earlier... this is the eco system in Kenting - they work for surfing and surfing for life.. I asked Ivan the record for pizza sold one night, he said : 300 , if I times 250 @piece come to 75.000 NT - that's the hi season when the Spring Scream took place., the average is between 80 - 100 per night. if we take 80 for average and times 25 days, the revenue is 500.000 NT. not a bad business.
No plan for the night, we go back straight to Apple and enjoy our first B&B night. the rate for Apple : week day : 2000@room, 8000@house, weekend 2500@room, 10.000@house. we are the only guest there and Vincet offer a 50% discount to us..Wifi and Cable TV set up become standard at B&B, Sound and I watch an old PPS movie, I falling asleep by 11:30 pm.
Day 2.
I woke up as usual, 6:30 am and begin my walking around morning, take the main way south, I came across many different B&B, my conclusion : if you saw a house painting with differt colors or shape, you may take it as a B&B, Vincent told me there are more than 700 B&B in Kenting, if you take average 8 rooms per house, the total supply is more than 5600 rooms. it's a overly supply market but you hardly can get a room duirng peak season or weekend. some of the B&B I visit this morning is too colorful to be maintainance, the colorful piece without proper maintence easly go decay or rotton... this is my intepretation. Vincetn don't want to fall in a stereo style. this is a good approach. with alignment to his yatch business but not to turn the house a deck or dock..take an one hour walk and return home for the breakfast session.
Vincent came for picking up to a greate breakfast place - Orange.. yes, the business is so good and we exchange idea about what kind of food will be welcome here even during the low season? what come to my mind is the grill hamburge. another craze idea. I even encourge Meiling convincing Kirk consider moving to Kenging and begin his new life with sun. beach and maybe significant others.
We check the tide, no good for surfing also, Vincent drove us to a few scenic spot where normally we will not go - Lung Peng is a great place to view the ocean, a slope of ocean and clean sea.. and the shallow basin of grass, so beautiful...we asked Vincet drop us off at the National Auquirum and we may take a rest and having him working on his staff.. stayed for 3 hours, enjoy Starbuck and Vincet came to pick up us by 3:00 pm.
Tide is not good still, we move forward to our second home - Kenting Bay - such a beautiful B&B, open your door, you see the beach in front and a private shore for you. what a nature gift.. we thanks for Vincent's spend time identified such a great resort for us. and we decided to take a rest before dinner.
dinner at mainstreet with Vincent and Swallow. the night event is what Vincent survey for us - the night National Park Eco tour.. after dinner, we went to Travel Box waiting for Yoyo and ? - the 2 bartler from Beach House. 5 of us join the crew for the nature exploration. Sher Ting Park is where we began our venture.. a lot of frog , saw some snake and the beautiful Chi Pen Cha tree flowers.. the little girl who accompany with and walk on the tail of the crew is so knowledgeable, she can explain thing much detail and clear than the old guide. we are lucky to have her behind us.. a great resource indeed, I asked Vincent to keep her contact, she can be a great resouce for us next time.
ECO tour took about 90 minute. went back to Kenting Bay and do nothing.....
Day 3
wake up as usual, enjoy the private beach myself and pick up one shell,, as gift for Meiling.
Returning room and watch PPS film " Things God ? " a great HBO production. Vivien is turly a genuis color hero win our respect even today. I am so inspired. wake Sound up and took our bus back to Cho Ying station, got on 2:30 pm HRS to Tapei, we arrived home by 4:30..

Book bring to Kenting
I decided to take out one book from my bag : Rework, as I know there won't be enough time for reading 3 books, why bother to carry more weight on me, this is not a training. so, the 2 books left is : The Workshop Guide and BASIC Phychology. both are not esay to digest, but benefit to my work and with the good mood and expection good weather , I should managed to read some.
change the glass this morning, not a supersititous, but a re-affirm of my habit, I should get rid of the bad lucky shadow, so, decided to change my glass this morning for the coming trip.
Blitz was the movie Meiling and I went last night, presumely, we thought this is a parenthood rate, so, we brought Sound with us, until arrived at the theather, we found it a 18 cencered. Sound decided to wait up at the theater lobby, playing my iphone games and enjoy his time alone. this is a clut film, British flavor and good storyline.

the lost George Yang dinner
Dinner with George on Weds. night at Hing Shu, this is for the good will since I promise to show him around Taipei, unfortunately, he can only be in Hsin Chu and then join the US delegation before returning to Shanghai. the dinner was great, it gave me a good opportunity to explore the new East Street Japanese curisne , Ya Chung is an entrepruner, the 4th chain restaurant is about to open. George is disappointed about my leaving, and it gave me the third coaching friend from Spirox, before George, Max and Calvin line up already.
Thursday is the New Wide presentation day, I left office earlier, had my sushi at Breeze Taipei railroad station and move to the recreation section before the appointment, Sunny and Hans Yang ( The CHRO who didn't respone my calls for 3 times ) joint the 2 hours meeting, it was very connstructive and I am more than 90 percent sure this is the client I will have. met Kevin Peng after the meeting at the near by Starbuck , Kevin just obtain his Doctorate degree but he is consider leaving Kou Yi Hui, the managment and funtionality he perform is pushing him out, I share my experice with him and urge him to capitalize his unquie talent before asking any tycoon to recurit him. hope it works, another coachee I am providing my service.
Friday morning with David Du, David spend all the time talking about Taiwan Paper and Wen Wong, how they want him to take the Chairmanship and to turn around the corporataion, but he need a team to do it other than David Jr. and Michael, as for my consulting firm, he is reluctant to invest, this is fine, really, I should walk on my own foot before anyone really want to be my partner.
The TH Steel trip to Maio Li is a very good experience, Suzi Ho , CEO of Tong Ho Steel is an TPO spouse, probabley becasue the encourtering at Angor Wok, she left a great impression about me and this is heral l, for the Artist and Corporate alignement project, I invited Hochen and his wife to join this trip, a good one. see the Maio Li Works ( yes, they use Works instead of factory ) is so full of human feel. Stan Shie and Mr. CHu were there and I am enjoy it very much, the last person take the microphone Mr. Tu is a very funny guy, he take this chance to complain, really, in front of so many big shot, this is what he want to express, just like in the shareholders meeting. someone break in and try to paralize the meeting, the performanc of A moving sound is great, Mia and Scott grab every chance to promote themselve, this is fine. after the ceremony, a few of us take a short Steel Work Tour, quite amazinging.
Return to Taipei and join another meeting with Michael Change and Ed Yang, a good music reunine and I agree to spend time on this a peer project and to bring Stan Shie, Steven Chang and Fermi to this stage.
our new car, Volkswagon Passat CC arived on Friday, we love the ID : 2219 2J.
Saturday, meeting with Celine and a few conclustion: CID CSR can be my liason office, Forum Works Asia can be the Leadership Developing Consulting Firm and Cheng Kou Construction might be the first corporate account from CID referral.
Saturday after, promise Mr. Chu and Lisa to Feng Ga Musume, the old Taiwan legecny exhibiation is interesting, but the interaction with new medis is OK to me. I didn't stay for too long.

Sunday, borrow so many books from City Liberary, it's a treature , however, very few people really enjoy it. I asked Meiling and Sound to the Movie, Harry Potter , death of the harrolow part 2, the final episode for the seriese, not a bad ending,we enjoy it.
tomorrow, 3 days vacation to Kengtin with Sound, the amazing story about buying ticket at iBon and in different day but to obtain next seat, what a great surprise, just like winning bingo.

Dinner with George Yang
George is the third talent I am willing to offer my coaching even leave Spirox, now Calvin, Max and George will be my responsibility after July. George stay with Spirox China partially because of me, he said many times, other than the tiddy business, the energy recharge and inspiration hit everytime when we have a " Get together ", George is a talent and one of the rare co-workers in China you can really trust.
This is George's first time in Taiwan, he stayed only 4 nights and will join the delegation to the States for DCG sales meeting. presumely, I promise to take him to Eslite Taipei and show him around a few great corner hinding somewhere in Taipei, but it won't happen this time and we save it for his following visit.
I decided to bring him to Japanese crusine as Taiwan offers great Japanese food, East Street plus is the restaurant I never visited, as a matter of fact, when Jack Hsieh resign, I seldom eat out and didn't pay any visit to East Street anymore. to compensate my departure, I decided to do it - shooting two birds with one stone.
Spirox lobby move-in coach, finally, I never understand why you asked visitor to wait and stand in the lobby and not to treat them like guest? maybe the culture changed and someone decided to put coach - sofa there.
Ha Chung - the owner and executive chef of the restaurant greeted us at the door and prepare decent food for us, great taste and great presentation, we finished early anad I suggested to talk a walk along the old town and show some Hsin Chu historical flavor to George, and it lead us to the smallest Eliste bookstore in Taiwan - Hsin Chu branch. at least, this is to inject another good memory about Taiwan. I bought 2 books there," Rework " from 37 signals is the book I want to enjoy during the Keng Ting vacation.
George love history, especially the recent history, history in 100 years.. I will show him around next time.

Calling rom Lin Chin Chang
It's a good surprise to received Lin's call, after graduation from junior high, I don't think we met before, his call is imply a good message, if our schorship to Chen Sin High School running short, he is willing to fill the gap.
By chating over the phone, I confirmed a few things:
1. Yes, he is the tycoon who grow eel in Kwang Tong provice and turn rich.
2. His son is going to study in the States.
3. Lin Chi Shung, one of my best classmate is not doing well, second marriage and his own business didn't work out
it's good and I am going to make the trip to see him via my China routine next. probably in Sep. if the coaching training wasn't on schedule.
Calling Vivian - HR manager or director to Amberall Taiwan, she is not so easy to handle, every HR specilist had its pet product or relationship to keep, this is how she or he survives, I shall be very careful in handling this situation. Fermi is helping and I am going to make this lady a kitchen cabiner of me, by conducing what the influence book taught - a small favor to grant - that's next Thursday.
Celine forward one potential client - Chen Kao Construction, review and prepare this company's basic information, quite an intersting company to coach with, if the chance getting real.
Calling Hans the third time from last week, no feedback or response still, maybe all the HR head is cynical, right? or I miss something from the bottom, I better find out tomorrow.. and favor to grant? maybe the Chi Fon cake is a good start tomorrow.or Lou Tien Lu's delicacy, maybe..
To initaive client, contact the liason, prepare the proposal and finalize product is quite a process, not to mention the markeing work havn't been done yet. but ,it will pay off as to start from where you are, not from where you image you will be is a realistic approach, I should do it very prudent and one step at a time.
Apply another 3 days leave, this is for Sound and my Kengtin trip.. we deserve the sun under the hard work, and this summer, Father and Son should get tained together, with Vincent's local guide and sharing, should be a good one... prey for the sun and smile in sothern part of Taiwan.

Spirox vs Giga Table Tennis games
I was call for the tounament last week, well, since this might be my last Group Activity with Spirox team, so, I say YES to Galvin - the captain of Spirox Ping Pong team. in order not to lose face to all, I practices twice, once in the office last Thursday and on Sunday morning, bring Sound to the club for another session.
I am good.. as the first player from Spriox, my first set wasn't stable, to nervouse, and gradually, I won the first set. scond set and the third set. I won the first game.. and to team up with Ted for double play, I won again...the final score is 8 to 3, Giga beat Spirox and I won 2 points.
people in Spirox don't know much about me, such as Calvin or Ted or Max.. this is fine, at least, I didn't consume credit but to create value.. this is what I see..

I spent half of my day try to identified " Samples " or " Models " I may take as reference and perhaps to find some good tools to support my executive team building program, yes, there are so many, the basic finding and action I took or may consider to act are:
1. attending the EISI accredition program in London on Mid-Sep. it was from Hay Group and it's global certification- if this is an action, I need to extend my stayed to London for 2 weeks, better find a bargaining location.
2. buy the simply turth inspiration DVD : I always know sound and visual combine together is the stimulate to your inner heart, I work with music so well, and now identified this add on tool - inspirational short films, spend 300 plus USD and it's on the way.
3. 5.12 the solo executive team building expert : contact him and try to buy the " Listening profile " tool which he is a distributor in US / Canada.. Sal Stevster who we spoke over the phone, intersting encountering
5. The coaching presentation I downloaded : how the presenter taking 2 approach for 'ROI ' is amazingly impressive, first ROI stand of Return on Investment, a purely measureable math, the second intepretation is Relies on Intuition, a non-measureable result, to combine both, it can easily provide Benefit to client.
What come to my minds for thrilling business ideas are:
1. Hui Chi : eSun Bank security division AE, whenever she will take leave, will report to all his client. yes, this is truly outside in perspective, no exception.
2. Max Chen and Calvin Cheng : offer free coach from Aug. this is for sharpen my sword also.
George Yang in town and I am happy to treat him dinner tonight, book east street Japanese restaurant, it must be fun to talk with him, retain him and now I leave earlier than may people's expectation. Scott gave me such a look also.

Investment pitch to David Du
This is the first ForumWorksAsia investment pitch, and I didn't share it with Meiling before. no perticular reason but to assertment to what I do.
mountain climbing as usual - whenever at home without raining, this should be kept as good routine. I check the slide I am going to share with David.
Brought the grape fruit Wu Sheng - my junior high shcool classmate courier as token, get on the taxi with Meiling, we are bothered with the taxi driver who is - to my understanding an Amy Way sales.. Meiling left the car at Kuang Kung and I have to take another 10 minutes bombing in the car.
David aware of my resign from Spirox, with no perticular response, he asked my plan next, so to paraphasing this question, I share with him the funding of Forum Works Asia - how I plan to convert Forum technique to corporate and build the adult leadership developing insititution as my vocation.
David is nice and precise / picky as always, but why I choose him as my first partner to build it?
1. Funding is not a big concern to him, especially for this very humble beginning
2. He equip with complementary role with me : prudent, detail, longer view and pragmatics
3. as the sencond generation in investment arean, he probable know all the fact and behavior among all the TPO / YPO compines. a very good mentor to me.
4. buuld a jointly sharing platform for initative other business in between.
This is what I should think hard:
1. David don't want to waste time in " Developing " or cooking potential with people he don't know - the opportunity cost
2. He never want to take majority control
3. The more invetor , the better mindset.
4. Carful in early design of the company and see the mid / long term exit plan for protecting his investment
5. Alice Lee - David's lovely wife plan vital role in joint decision making.
6. Sensetive in how people running the company spend the money.
I set up a follow up meeting with him on Friday. and see how he response to my very simple prposal and at the same time, I am prepare to answer question like:
1. product development
2. pricing stratagy
3. corporate postioning and developing plan
4. marketing idea
5. other involved in next step
2 hours with David, he then share with me David Yang's trouble mode, his company H.I.T might go bankrupt if no other running cash inject by end of July and he need 20 millions NT to save the company, David D is reluctant to grand his help this time. David told me he rather take the initital 15 millions investment a lost, but not to lent him 20 million again, and told me the credit line for 50 millions have been use by HIT, if the company go bankrupcy, then the liabliay will be bore by his company, he is asking David Y to solve this problem now.. this is the same story happen again, the old drama is to borrow money, then can't return the money, convert debt to share, and then dilute the company, the second run investor suffer the lost, since the snow ball getting bigger and bigger, the investor is difficult to bail themsleve out of this trouble, and the friendship is dilute and gone....... first is Chew Chun Chin and now its Du Heng Yi..
David told me David H once asked him to cut HIT price deep and take it over and revitalize it.. David D is reluctant to do it as we are all " FRIEND ", you should not take advantage of your friend... pretty much like my situation, need a job or salary to support family, so you perform a bossy attitude and sore the friendship... Hmmm, better think it over.

My first Corporate Account - Ambarella
It cames without second thought, on last Friday, when aware of Fermi's help needed message, I sent him a text message and we talk over the phone for 5 minutes and set the Sunday breakfast meeting at Sherrton.
Friday afternoon, I work out a proposal for Ambarella, yes, without any cure or decent document, just from the registrtion of forumworksasia.com , I am so excited to share it and incorporated into the proposal. yes, it's a proposal consist with " Executive Team building - Forum style " and " Sounding Board guest " before " Conductiong Executive coaching project ", to leverage what I prepare, I revise a few slides and make it a fund rasining proposal with David Du, who I will see this morning.
Saturday before the Quarter Business Review session, I browse Ameralla news and accidentally DW the S-1 file, an IPO process in the States if you wish to list in NY Stock market, it reveal in detail the company - I check the business trend part and risk factor part with decent manner on Saturday night, this is for a basic preparation before seeing Fermi.. and I do see the need from Fermi and his company, not only in HR or Leadership developing side, but a strategic development side.. I know I can do more than before, with confidence, we conduct a 90 minutes conversation. and here is the finding:
1. Corporate project will be better for Fermi as they will soon be listed in US.
2. Do it from Taiwan and China first, its difficult to handle executive team in the States - a racial discrimination issue - he share with me how CFO sacrifised months ago.
3. Work with Nick - his best friend for 40 years and with the assistat from HR head.
4. Think what FRORUM experience can be converted and transform to his team
5. Issues:
- our people are smart.
- we grow them to managers' position without leadership development
- vicious competition for higher position is taking place
- we are not happy with our client, our technology should be utilize - or we should develop our own product - a better than APPLE product
- funding team in bonding well - especially been through difficulty togerher, what Fourm value can bring further?
- Outplacement might be an option, how to do it right?
- your variety backgroud is what we need
- Sep. is good to fit in our program.
I should do it right this time.

Spending day with Sound, we play ping pong after my meeting with Fermi, and then ate deep fried rib rice for lunch. go to esltie and kingstone book store - buying what we need , reading at starbucks before the movie " Transformer 3 - Dark side of the moon " a great day.

New Account in Funnel and counting
I don't know why, but instinct told me to send text message to Fermi - CEO of Ambarella and who attend my Forum Training earlier, we met in Singapore and develop a conversation about how a coach is needed from Ambarella.. met the third time at one YPO event, I congradulate on his soon to be IPO at N-Stock, and said something aobut " A new chapter or new beginning " his response bringing a " Trouble Mode " - a pitch for sales lead, he said, " I am thinking the same way - a new beginning, but for few co-founders, this is the end of one episode, they are thinking about cash out or be rich... ", so, the coach or executive team building is needed.

Investment in me
Accidentally browse the Adair international. a consulting company focus on ACL training and qualification - the Action Centered Leadership program was first identified by me from the Businss Ball site - that's when I am prepare my first Proudct " Executive Team Building ". ACL announce the Coach Accridition program in Sep. and looking for regional partner also.. this is what I am looking for - a marketing tool to leverage my coaching career other than inside out edge and YPO Forum program.

Coin Laundry and Biz Model
Woke up by 5:30 am, check my underware bin - it full with to be clean pants and shirts, I know I can't hide away from this house keeping job, so, make up my mind to do my launday this morning.
Walked down Kawang Fu road, turn right to Chen Kung road where I spot Coin Laundary the other day ( that's the day I tried to see if the 40 years old Chinese pancake breakfast open or not ), check in, read the operation menu, insert coin - laundary for 35 minutes and follow with drier for another 35 minutes, it cost only 120 NT for a 2 weeks consumption of my underware, socks and hankerchief.. waited for my cloth, I visit 2 convenience store for killing time, at Family Mark, bought my breakfast salad and read the free newspaper, Peirece Chen again been seized at Milan - shopping with his girlfriend - the movie star - Kwang. it's an yesterday news, Douglas Shu seeing Chang Li Mei for quite a long time, why these 50 plus tycoon fasinated by out of date movie star? quite an intersting things.
Identified my personal consuting firm - ForumWorksAsia - direct and simply - provide Forum value to rest of the world - for better leaders.. period. and identified sub-product line - leadership development and executive coaching tool. on top of that, 2 potential regional partner identified either - inside out edge - with John, Sassotis with Mary... for local partner , I am thinking of YEF and Nita's elite education fondation and to connect with EMBA managazine. they are inviting me to the consulting zone now.. a good start.

The short TED and twice youpron

3. bicyling to office for 30 days and then equip the courage to conquer the high mountain

this is the theory out from the routine 21 times. 30 more than 21 and it will accesrate the reult.
I falling in sleep by 9 pm, probable because the early bus to office or something else, walked up around 3:30 am, have you pron tack me to bad again, I did it when return to my studio around 6:30 pm.
I realize that a wirten plan needed to check the development of my personal career. calling David Du yesterday morning, he is like : well, you need to know what to do next etc.. this is the old script, we should throw it away, really..
visit Sunny at the after-birth recovery center, for the mother and infant, as to recovery for one month is the traditon for Chinese woman - we call it " Bad for month ", in the old days, the daughter in law should be taken cared by his mother in law, they will prepare the chicken stew with seaseme, pig kidney stew with seaseme for the recovery of the mother and to produce human milk in good quantity. now in Taiwan, the after birth caring center is in a morden mode,with good facility and professionals, both mother and the family can get full rest.
Sunny's second son don't have a name yet.. looks mature, yes, it's been very long I never saw new born baby, it's good . yes, really good.
Meiling bought the VW Passat CC. the sales rep. Mr. Kao will come for my signiture today.

At Mr. Brown cafe waiting for Luis Chen's lunch appointment, Kai Fun - VP of Himalaya record reach me and set for a sad story - he was force to leave Mr. Han's entity , a 9 years tenure with no compensation. then Grace Wang come in.. yes.

-- James Wang Wei - Sercom : I am cynical about your " Executive Coach " postioning, I am looking for my coach now and serching from the State. the criteria: 65 years old, retire success CEO, with phycharist study acdemaic backgroud, Phd preferred and with proven coaching track records.
-- Mary : the alumi from CFF and current coach in China : it's been overused in China, the market if full of so called " Coach ", everyone can easily attend a 3 days coach program and obtain his certificate, without hours for coaching experience or any offical coaching training, it's a " copycat " market now.

Nick - the motivation speaker
Life without limit is the NPO Nick founded years ago, he said to complete a man like him consist of 2 major element : Positive Attitude ( this is what should be responsible for each and every one ) and Unconditional Love ( to him, other than parent, God is what he discoverd ). Nick begin his speach career back to 17 years old and it's 10 years since he developed himself a very postive motivator speaker. and his next goal is by leveraging nowaday technology - internet, social media to broaden the impact to the world, without travelling by his tiny foot. and to build a platform for talent who can influcence or change someones' life... this is Nick, he was invited to YPO education event last night at Le Mariden Hotel Taipei. great turn out and very intersting speaker.
After his speech, I walked across the street to Bellivira Mall try on the shoes I intended to buy this afternoon, without my size, the shop clerk asked if I may return to try , yes, I did, Lepperiot - Paris hand-made shoe famous for her ballend shoes and with Mick Jagger ( Rolling Stone ) endosement, I want to have it now.. so, spend 22.000 NT for 2 pair of the comfortable shoes, as the wooden pad is not quite fit Taiwan weather, a refine process should take place in the shop, so, I have to wait until next Monday to bring back my shoes.
Return to LM waiting for Alex - long time old friend and an executive recuriter,we lost contact for 2 more years,I met him in HK , he just relocated and finish his profession with H&S hunting corp. and started everything new in HK , we bump into each other in the lobby around 4:40 pm as I was early to check the YPO event venue, so, we decided to reconnected and update each other at night. while waiting for him, Candy show up, I hardly recongize her until she mentioned her name.. Hmmm, I don't know why she is a stranger to me - Plactic surgery? or too long to see each other? after Alexanda bankrupcy and her changed jobs from time to time, we havn't see each other for very long. so, I should call her and set up our appointment in July.
run into Sunny at the Barivira Mall basement 2 - the gourment arcade, he is having oyster with someone- not her wife.. so.. Sunny didn't see me, I took the escalator up and hide myself in other places..
Celine call for set up first meeting next Monday at CID / CSR, I have to apply leave, and to utilize my Monday. call up Luis Chen - he is now professor at NCCT, we set for the lunch on Monday. send message to Kevin and learn the Ko Yi Hei event on July 15th, great, just to connect with my New Wide appointment on the 14th afternoon, and to attend GIO consulting meeting in the morning.
Arrvied at the event venue earlier, set time with James on Monday morning for breakfast, this is the marketing session, James Wang Ko Chen generally offer Les Enphant as potencial clien to me. and Ken promise the EO need me more.. I disclose my full time commitment to this area to Ken, James and James, and Eric Tseng - Eric is in trouble as well, take leave from his forum, need to raise another 100 millions and ambitious to IPO in 2 years.

at least I did it in front of him... table next to 3 university students - 2 from David H and one from James Wang, they are so interesed in digging Lee Hom's sex orientation. I didn't say much and promise to bring them the autograpy.
Late night talk with Alex, he is in a very competitive business enviroment - station in HK and searching talent for China - the barbarin market, very tough, according to him - Taiwan is easy and simply market - isolated, frammed and nice people. nothing like China. when trun to my next move, this is Alex's advise:
- Executive Coaching in Greater China - you got no money. as the performance is hard to measurea nd behavior change is not relevant to business performance.
- Try to take retainer first and the executive coach as option
- CHRO development is good for me, it's cross industry and fit my character.
Alex told me a story about how my formal colleage inspired by me and this is why he trust me and treat me as friend.. I am so proud to hear it.
