Whole day

I spend whole day follow my heart , at a hidden place and enjoy the moment of happiness , pretty much to the book " passages " mentioned, to claim back the spirit of man, man of 50 will do things such as ... This is what I did yesterday.
Mo and I had a good Skype conversation , I have a partner now and to set the boat sailing , goal is simply buy it take effort to achieve certain milestone .
A good lunch with Brian , young analyst at CID who is consider taking more challenging job and to experience the world of investment , he made appointment with me a ACC, the place demonstrate where he cameos from, American school graduate , living in yanmingshen and now have a good job.
I will take decent time for next couple of days, finish my Latin American film festival .
It's good to have coffee with lulu also.

Creating the memories you want

It began with the 2 movies we went on Sunday - the first one -which I didn't expect to see but the time slot fall into a ' Perfect match " - 18 meals - translate from Spanish , a film which seperate relationship by meals - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, it deal with almost all kinds of relationship we develop in life, for those normal and to most people's perspective - abnormal, and it technically compare with a very senior ( old ) couple who ate breakfast / lunch and dinner together without speaking a word, but from the body langauage and movement, you can tell how sweet they are. and the rest in the films are all kinds of man / woman relationship come across varies meal occations. I really enjoy this movie, a great ice burg film and disclosed so many detail in every people's heart.
As I don't like to sufficitate in dead air for too long - maybe due to age issue, I suggested to my movie compaign - Meiling, let's take a walk to Wan Hwa before catch up another film - the German produced " Welcome to German ", we walked and spot on Red Mansion - the 100 years old building now convert to creative flee market, Meiling bought hershel a pari of ear ring and a beautiful Turkish lace, and I bought myself a coat - with Morden Chinese flavor , walking to HawShi street and ate the stew pork rice - not so healthy but so tasty, we then walked back to the Cimena, one hour before the show time.. Welcome to German is a sweet film, a Turkish emigrant to German and the eldest - now a grandpa wish to bring the entire family back to the village where they belong, and the jourvey begins, the dramatic change and turning point is the sudden death of the grandpa on their way back to home town and the story turn to all the family member face their own challenge. it a good piece to enjoy.
After the film, we went to a Bakeray Cafe near by CKS Memeorial Hall, a nice place to eat some Europen bread, order an coffee and bring good book with you. it's not finsh yet, we finish our night at the famous Chin Feng Stew Pork rice restaurant , how can you resist it since it's only block away.
It's a good route on Sunday and a good Chrismas.
Dec. 24 - I join the reunion of Life Academy family - at the little trendy restaurant - 4 knows hall ( you know, I know, Heaven know and earth know ), Fen Yang, Chung Ming - Bi Yang and San San from HK. we had a good evening together.
Dec. 23. I brought Fruit to her favorite Janapese Pork rib restaurant and follow with a great day to the beach with Meiling, the relationship develop with Fruit become so sweet, Meiling tried to getting there also. we had dinner at the fishery conver resturant on the beach, to our suprise, the meal is so great, the only thing we may complain is the desert after meal, it damage the credit we suppose to deliver. but, it's so nice to have such a family itimacy together, thanks for all the thing and blessings.
Yesterday is a personal recreation day - a good day to remember and to create the memories in life - morning with Victor, with no prejetice, I listen to him and advise how important Victor should :
1. Let the sharholder think they are doing / investing in right thing
2. Conduct more communcation to creat the space of freedom Vicot wish to keep and not ruing the creativity in builidng the brand.
It's a good day for me. yes. it is.

Man in green

I am wearing all green to support mr.hochen today , this is truly friendship , everyone who know me will know I am a Ma supporter, and will vote for blue for the coming presidential election! However, the friendship with hochen change my outfit today totally , I tried my attire this morning , spontenesuely , I pick my green coat and the green woolen pant, to be more extractive , I put on my green vast also, to show my outfit in front of meiling , she asked me take off the green vast and not to make it too aukard , so ... I also prepare the what if scenario -- once hochen ask me to do the interviewing after shao ing speech. I do my homework and this is it, if not for hochen, I would not tailor me to such a drastic change .
It turn out I am the only person wore green in the campaign venue, a auditorium with 400 plus attendee, probable all of them are hardcore green / DPP supporter , I am the only green look among them , what an embarance situation , never mind, I just did what I commit, be the true friend of hochen, although I am not sure if he share the same with mine.
Blogging at Starbucks Cheng ze university , I had an independent day , morning breakfast with Ray is good, he joined a telecom company he love - or feel happy with and share with me how he see social network analysis is a good area to emphasis , yes I learn a few good thing from him. My feeling after seeing Mr. Chen Hung Lien this morning

Chen works very much, I can tell, but he tried even harder to sell the idea of " I works so hard that deserve your respect or even support ", it will ultimately freak out his friend or even family - if I am right, Chen's family is gone, otherwide , he won't mentioned things like my girlfriend whatsever. and I've been support him for quite a long time, yes, I can recall it and the acquaintance from the army days is pretty much set the image or stero type to a person.
To invent or provide a revolutionary way for Chinese Learning is a big dream, I am not saying Chen should not dream his dream, positoning from the very nitch and to offer Chinese Literature Gradulate a tool for being rich seems nothing wrong, but why young in Chinese Lieterature must be rich to prove anything? this is what I can't understand.
Rent a flat with office, working day and night, telling people how he willing to sacrifice himself for achive others' dream, this is not I can buy-in, really. my feeling ? feel pitty about Chen and feel I should keep distance from him for a while, yes, this is not a right time to invest resouce to.

Calling Meiling for 2 second run movie at " Cha Cha " - 2 amazingly great film - Changing-Up and Mesterukers , Changing Up is a very humon and good film, the touch about dream / relationship and family value, simply and deep. Mesteruker is one of the best entertaining film I ever saw this year, compare with Mission Impossible 4 or Sherolk Holmes 2, noting less.
I had a great recreaction session on Monday, a good night to remember.

A very long and profound day with family

We decided to sent sound back to puli school before his retuning home on Friday, the decision were made to remain or increase the itimancy of the family, sound didn't catch up with hooligan examined and the ranking is declined, it concerned me and Meiling a little bit, but when recall the reason why we sent him to study in puli , it have little thing to do with the score, what sound told his mother is true, have not found what he want , so there is no driver to keep him move foreword , I agree with sound's insight as I disco ere what I really want by the age of 50, how come I expect a 15 years old to realized his life ahead ? However , since I am the person who been there, I should help him IDE tied his true passion in life earlier, not in coming 6 months as the enroll examination is a necessary pressure for him, to somehow learn how to leave the comfort zone, but to reconcile to our purpose for sending him to private school, we should not again the will in the first place.
We are happy left home by 11:00 am, first stop is lien chew street to feed our stomach the transitional food vendor in front of the temple it truly the old scene you can spot in old time Taipei , we were having too much before taking the highway number one to Taichung , meiling have a good intention to see our daughter on our way also, she is reluctant to let me know , surprising , fruit called for the money needed next week I take the chance to inform her we are on owe way to puli, if she is ok , we love to drop by further to cha yi , she is with her boy friend we know. With 2 more phone calls , she felt so happy that we will make the trip to see her, so ,we change our plan, to go yo ta tuang college at cha yi first before sending sound back to school , I can see sound is so happy about it,
Having dinner together with sound and fruit , we make our effort to be good family again, it what I learn from being the facilitator with so many YPO executives , family can only be the last place you want to be, keep intimacy and to create positive memory whenever you can.
We then have a long drive home , knock our own door by midnight , around 1 in the morning , meiling received a greeting call from fruit , xit make her day again.
My thinking is leading me to recreation , yes, I know, something you just go with the flow.
Promise hochen to sit on broadband policy panel with DPP Presidential election candidate , the color doesn't fit me but friendship over take my ration , see what happen on Thursday !

Breakfast with Lawson

If I may draw the conclusion , the answer to my feeling is : Lawson is not happy with his career one st rotuken - the ec site which he follow ejiri today, well, this is the nature of work, blur , subtle and full of compromise, if people really want to achieve a higher form of work, you have to follow your heart and get rid of the tengible rewards trade from the job you perform.

Cut my hair after the long breakfast at starbucks and where I ate something bad there, home by 10:30 am, emotion control well.
Went to 2 first run movies with sound and meiling yesterday : mission impossible 4 - the goast protocol and the sequel to sherolk holmost 2, nice and entertaining , sound was pretty tired I can see, and meiling had a headache , I thanks them for coming with me with my excuse of spending family time while sound return home.
Spot a few great cafe in ming sheng community when checking the space 6636 for conducting national development gathering , it seems the one is right now the choice.
Met kao Cheng surprisely by noon, he complained and disclosed so may odd behavior about Ben liu - owner of the one and hid formal boss, as I am slightly build the interface with the one, he is kind of warming me in wherever he can, so...

The Esoterism monthly meeting procee as usual, my concern for next year didn't go away, if no one really want to take it serious or address this issue , It will turn to a disaster in 2012! Yes , I know, the future is so clear now, the minimum require,net is go with monthly brekeven on revenue reach 3 millions nt, I need to find time with victor next week, sit down, listen and maybe coach a little bit.

Home and one more rest

The 20 plus hours flying home wasn't an easy one to me, economy seat on KLM is really limit, you can hardly move your body, especially when the 3 in row seats were all occupied, this is exactly what happened on my way back, cliterian is not working also, my running nose keep me awake for quite some times, so, there is no sleeping quality on my way home.
On the day of leaving Warsaw , I managed to take a walk on the street, the weather is cold outside, I have to find me a Starbucks as a shelter in the middle of the walk, I enjoy all the building on the street, it full of the carve of culture, nothing like what you seen in Taipei , only the store sign board and neon lights , it's pity to see a metro city doesn't develop it's own color. Buy meiling another hang bag, no idea she will be disappointed about the quality and design.
My flight landed around 7 pm on the 13th, I miss the rice so much , you can only have cold sandwich in Poland , so , meiling drove me to Formosa Change - a local stew pork rice chain to enjoy my first rice treatment in 7 days.
I falling asleep until 12 moon on the 14th, it's not because of jet leg , but to catch a cold, it must be on the plane, went to Sher ding with wife foe the tofu soup and on our way back, we found a cafe to read. It's another good night sleep.

Second Facilitator Forum experience

I attend the second Facilitator Forum Experience in Westin Hotle Warsaw again, I am not sure why the energy is not as high as I expected, Bert flee away , he didn't show up the first time and run away after the ice breaker, I don't really know if his committement of 100 PLN is fillfulled or not - Mo can't join us but I saw him pay the due 100 to Ken in the morning - you know, a man of his words should act like Mo.
Ken is a little bit too push, I was asked to be the moderator without any preparation, well, we as facilitator should be skill enought to jump in anytime, anywhere and any place, this is what we are hoping to perform. thanks for Ken's push, I managae to conduct the meeting with his correction.
Vonnie is so interesting, he is a phychogrist but a very loose business sense, Anthony is quite a nice person - a phychotrist as well., Janet had her power, when you saw her on stage, Yasmin is a sweet lady really.
we ended the Forum by 5:45 pm and gladly to greet Ken's wife and little daughter, this cause me thinking - Ken's second marriage.
I am not expect to join dinner with the rest of the team , but after the Skype with Meiling, I walked alone with Old town, check 2 fleet market and get myself a Warsaw Subway sandwitch - walked toward the circle of the old time, I sopt the restaurant Bellini - this is the restaurant I overheard they will having dinner. I walked down the stair and saw the group there - Janet, Bert ( yes, he survive to dinner ),Vonnie, Athony and Michael - the Forum Committe director. I ate nothing but to share one slice of Pizza with Janet, but I am willing to pay my porting as the team, you know, no one is willing to buy the dinner, this is a typical western culture and it's good. sit with 3 and half phychotrist is quite a fun journey.
Yesterday, We do a few very good exercise:
1. The Forum Cards is a great tool to help getting deep quick, developed by Roni and Eva, they devided into 3 group with the theme of : Relation / Issue / ? , everyone ramdomly pick 5 cards ( pickture with word ) , then choose one card fit the best with you and then explained it.
2. The Listening practice develop by Janet is another great exercise - pair up and you will giving a " word " and you have to speak non stop for 2 minutes, then change from speaker to listner, and the second turn is to identify the : Breakthrough questions " - the root of the question, my is " Highest Potential " which I love it so much.
3. Bert deliver a ending exercise so great, it's a 5 in the group to finish the sentence to getting deeper, with music and reverse rules, you cirlce and ccircle and getting deeper and deeper, the question is great like:
- your philophopy in life
- how you wish to end it here,
- if you really know you, then you will know
Agenla's behavor is strange to many of us. never mind.

CFF retreat day 2

The after dinner sharing was so great, there are only 6 of us - David Long, Janet, Searl, Mo , Ken Tyler and myself. from the believe, regilious perspective, the east and west encouting were so full of energy. this is turly a flow of inner space, we talked for almost one hour after everyones leaving.
I am not quite used to th Polish food, yes, the taste wasn't my type, only bread works for me. so, I havn't eat too much these days. Enneagram exercise brought by Searl is very porfessional, she is a very head-on professiona, precisely conduct the 60 minutes with well-design power point , evidence of Type 8 and Reformer, especially to match each typy - number a Theme Song - such as Type 8 with " My Way " and Reformer with " Imagine ", if I may, I can suggest to use Fleetwood Mac " Go your own way " to replace Type 8 and " Heal the World " from Michael Jackson to replace Reformer.
Social Media introduction via web meeting is not work for me either, I am not use to the screen with presentation machanism,, so uplode Britol Hotle picture to my FB, guest what, I brought the attention of Miguel - I feel sorry not able to see him at my current trip.
Zane introduce " Transformer Forum " raise a few question, but the after dinner conversation with Ken is more interesting, he said " They treat us - Facilitator as customer to there new product, but not guarenty the work after certification " and Ken is not agree with the " You can't not use is now " attitude, since there's no propetery or petent , why can't we use it outside?
Ken's comment on Les Morgen is a good one , he told me Les is a " Bigger than Life " person - that's personality or attitude , and Ken share with me that he expect my behavior exact the way I did after Mo introdue the TF exercise yesterday morning.
I like the exercise Yosmin did yesterday - everyone have his / her secreat admire when draw on the name in the morning, until the end of the day, he or she should annomonly to write down his or her admire in create way and post it on the big wall -, during dinner, we disclose the secreat together, this is a geat exerise to bring the itimancy level high.
Lunch for sharing about the question Roni distribute yesterday is a good one as well the other 2 session conducted by David Long - Retreat and Moderator Big Tip were great, David is very experience and he don't buy in in the form of presentation, he prefer to do " sharing " , I like The Iseal CFF lead the culture barrier section, he is so humor and with great knowledge about cross-culture thing, a charactor to me.
The morning session, mainly dominate by the TF experience and exercise and the " Business opportunity " discussion among facilitator. Trenspreny and Centeralize Allocation of work are the keys the facilitator concern the most, however, as the 3 party alliance, you can harddly push the NGO to do things favor thise facilitator.
Estelle is very good in observation, she share with hom how she check the eys and body language of Angla on the first day of Forum experience and she discover my great attrtibution , well, if that's the case, probable I am the Reformer baske on Ennergrm result.
I did a promotion to host CFF retreat in 2013, and I am thinking to create the platform for all the faciltators - yes... Mo / Ken / Estelle / Searl are in my list of co-worker , next step

Le Maridian - Bristol

This is turly a classic hotle in Warsaw, all the detail, Art Deco and peices were full of authentic beauty, I have to say it's a regret not to bring Meiling with me. she shall appreciate these quality of life with me.
Woke up 3 in the morning and continue my reading and working. take the exercise by 6:00 am. the opening starting point at the health, cozy and mini, buy it gave me a good sweat of the day.
I decided to go for breakfast before taking shower, asked if there's dress code at the breakfast, good, I am the only person wearing my sports dress - sports shoes, short pan and T-shirt to the beauty room. I am over-eating this morning as the food is so delicious, not to mentioned the European bread - I can hardly stop eating.
Saw Netti in from of the restaurant, she is checking the venue, and I run into Ronkin who is the Trainer for Angela Fan by 2005. so.. I met Angela brought her parent to the breakfast restaurant, they are 73 years old accoring to Angela, Grand Dad is using a SONY tablet, taking picture, they order a very big breakfast and Angela didn't put on her make up -- yes, I can see her problem now, lack of confidence and stayed single still - maybe I draw the wrong conclusion or maybe I am sterotype others too quickly.

I am in Warsaw

It's havn't been a while since I take the international flight - the 24 hours flight to Warsaw Poland is a very new thing for me - trace back my long distance flight should be attending TTT in Washington back to 2009.
I decided to do nothing on the day of departure, as a matter of fact, Meiling and I go mountainerring in the morning, have a local breakfast and decided to go for shoppoing some local sovurnier for Forum members - buying a few postcard from " Taiwan's Shop " and I bought myself a " History of Taiwan " - English version and finish reading it on my way to Poland.
Taking the economic seat isn't so comfortable, however, I managed to sleep for a few hours on the plane, the first is Bangkok, the transit time is less than an hour, so you just strench your body and check in and out the transfer lounge, that's it, get on the plane of KLM - a good airline, I finish watch one local movie ( Dutch film ) - Kidnapped Heineken - a real crime story on the screen, I didn't know how tough Heineken was until saw this movie and realize a few thing. the pursuing of catching the ramson bad guy is a good story, Heinken's wife taking St. Martin as the location to seize 2 runaways. Heineken return to his wife and the alocoloic problem within Heineken corporation were topic can be further discuseed. a good film.
we were waked by the commotion erose on the plane, a few Thai passanger quarrel and about to fight - air attendance do a great job by seperate them and keep the whole cabinet in safe mood - I saw those young Thai wearing the uniform with - Fishing Crew badge - it must be poor people travelling to Amsterdam and taking the hard job there. the unstable situation cause a few concernes among passanger.
Transfer at Amesterdam interntional airport - Kiplin , a very modearn and advance airport - especially when seeing the green ambience there, the transit time is about 4 hours, I took my second breakfast, buy 4 books and finishing reading the Guidebook before flight to Warsaw.
Warsaw Chopin International Airport is not as mordern as other European AIRPORT, and the people there were differenct. get on the taxi to Bristol Hotel - a 100 years classic building convert 5 star hotel is very elegent, it located at the old time, with many historical building, I find it lots of interesed.
I should take some nip on the day of arrival - after 24 house flight, but when check the mail ans learn 2 of the first Forum participate are not able to join Ken's first Foru, without second thought, I decided to jump on the taxi and volunteering to the first group, I arrived and check in Westin Presidentcial Suite earlier than anyone at the Forum and bought myself a great Latte from Delloitte building. Key Taylor show up with a portable flip chart -- we greet each other and start to move the sofa in the room. then the rest of the team check in - I am so surprise to see Angela Fan there. well, she didn't sign up for the Forum meeting ( or didn't show her name to all other participant ) and well - not ready to see me there. however, I told myself this is a chance to let people know what I am thinking, should follow my heart.
Estello is a great person who will turn 60 next week, she is my coach on the presentation and I am delight to engage and connect with great person such as Les Morgna - Searl - Jenny , we decided to form a virtue forum and set the day for the first meeting, isn't it great ?
I miss Meiling , for not able to do skype with her...

New Finding in She Ta night market and Yu Kang street

Walking between ales in Taipei is one of the greatest thing to do. last night, I asked Meiling to join the treasure hunt with me, and we begin our search by 5 pm after I met her at Kuang Qang MRT.
to have the turtle fish soup at Dien Shui Lou is on my agenda, other than this, I have no idea where to after, we walk from alse to alse and spot a few new little shops - for goods or for eat, these tiny and cozy place really demostrate the variety of Taipei today - with the color of culture and creative touch, I see the vivid city moving in a new energy. Chio Ho Ting Flee Market renovated and turn to an antique market, along Chio Ho Ting, we see gallary andd some interesting eating place, one by one, this is an amazing finding.
Walking through the campus of National Normal University, we are in the head of She Ta night market, across the street, we identify " Standard " bookstore who claim to be the cheapest bookstore in Taipei, bought ourself a few books and we walk toward Pu Chang street. this is a quite and elegent place with shop like " little Rabbit " and other creative shops you hardly know how to pronounce its name. so beat it, enjoy the ambienct they sent and be a real person appreciate the quality new Taipei young generation wish to draw upon.
I didn't finish watching " My name is Khan " with Meiling, I am so tired and can't stand up too late, done my first hour and falling in sleep, but I do know the ending as Meiling shut down the iPad. I awaked and asked the ending scent also.
today is the Poland trip day, must be fun, I am really to embrace whatever bring to my life.
CDY didnt appear at She Ming Ting, a little bit of lost,but not much. I think ' If I die " is a great idea.

Day before Poland

I had my routine breakfast with Hochen - my big brother, as ususal, time is too short for us and we think our one-on-one conversation can turn to a forum like seminar or to be posted somewhere, especially when I said I ma nuture - no color preferance ( Red / Blue / Green ) nor color blind. we cover 2 main topic today : how we Hans see the aboriginals in Taiwan - should we help them to adapt the western life or to reach the mordern days standard, or just Leave it that way, but to respect the way Taiwan oborignials follow their life? so, he is not favor with what Stan Yen is doing in Taun tung - to teach them how to fishing or to enducate them to be a nowaday adaptor - I am the beliver of " Leave it that way " , the encoutner with Wutai Lu Kai tribe tought me - even we saw some talent in them, they prefer to live the ordinary but happiner life - I take the TED prize" Next Einseten is an Africa " to share how the great can be great and the last scene on the famous movie " Mission " - missionary were killed, before he die, those we civlized told him : because you brought civilization to us, so ,you must die.

Met with Ben Lieung with Yu Ping - Yu Ping is kind enought to find me this Job - work with The One in its new idea - the Cluture and Creative Gardon - mmmm, I am only listening. so, no point to joint but why not to support Yu ping. yu ping and I had a good dinner, for a very long time, she said I am her mentor, this is a flatter tome, accompapny before the dinner is the young talent - Jimmy, who buy in in what I said , so, impact lay and seeds lays.
Sunday - do little thing, send Sound back to school bus, but we miss the art film at Happiness Cemima.
BTW, the high tea with Maggie Shu is good, I didn't know she deviorce 7 years ago, but to know an old colleage think I am the best boss to work with should be a good time.

The YPO event wasn't realized due to csr Community or Celine need my immediate help, when arrvied in the office yesterday, Celine came and brief me about Ryne's upset about csr community and publicly share his feeling about Li Chung - this consulting firm have too many client now and Da Ya is not in the priority service list now. the issue brought from 2 incident - first is the official site which csr commmunity work in 2006 as the launch consulting agreement with Da Ya, at that time, Celine offer it to Alice - who were not happy with Softback Mr. Chuang and I pay her compensation myself , Celine offer her this case as a gesture also. but we didn't know how she build or revamp it , but now, it seems it's not an open enviorment which make every improve or editing a big trouble for either csr community or Da Ya, second might come from Ryan's conversation with Sunny, who express how great our team did a consunsu workshop for New Wide in China, and it happen to be Ryan need the team to go over a project. so ,, he is not happy. I was asked to grant my help. how? invite Ryne for coffee - send him a text message and Ryne agree to meet up by 2 pm - it's conflict with my YPO event, so.. I have to give up the chance to learn but to accomodate Celine to see him.
as facilitator, this is another good chance to coach Celine and to make the conversation works, my prinspal is : If we do things wrong, apology, not good enought, proposal an improvment idea and if their is mis-understanding, to clear the air. Celine and I done it all. and csr Community win a chance to revise and extend consulting contract with Da Ya.
I bought one book in the oppsite side of the cafe', it's call awakening at work, it use some Budda prinspal to help businessman dealing with their diary life, quite an useful book , I took the book to subway before the SEE dinner.

Yes, the story about Barry's secretary steal his PR fees for luxury good is quite an interesting story, 80 millions NT fraud by a secretry, this is unbeliveable:
1. how the corporate government in Quanta?
2. if 80 millions for PR is a green light, as a shareholder, how you feel?

GIO dinner

We become friends by the time I join the delegation to Shanghai, Director Chang and Senior Supervior Tseng were nice to me, the appointment for inviting all the panel to dinner was set 3 months ago, finally, we met last night at Taiwanese restaurant _ The green leave, Miss Tseng over order the food, to demostrate a good guest, I was over eating too. Sunny Lin, Michael and my ex-colleage from So-net ( who just resign from KK box )and Michael - we have a good meal and conversation.
I attend A-PEER meeting yesterday, not to hide away, but simply address the " Start up fees " and necessary resource - manpower and time to get the ball rolling, as they agreed, so, I propose to choose the project we favor and own it, by Friday, we should have a pre-proposal for the umbrella company.
Morning with Hanes, he is nice but candid to me about who make the decision in New Wide and who do the follow up, most cases ( or in all cases ), Sunny and Miss Chuang give instruction, and all the company just follows. so, it's hard for professionals to initative any good program. Hanes asked my previous experience at LCPC and check how a porfessional behave in the family run business. it's like all are task base employee and muliti-task is essencials. there's no set rule or plan to follows. so, I need another session with Sunny before kick-in my next project with New Wide.

The temple inside mountain

I have been told by 2 friends in the music field that that follow the same zen master - a rare known one in Taiwan, and they call themselves : fou sen Chung - a branch out from the budda zen era, what cause more interested is not the religion they promote , but the skin care product they offered, I remember the incident burst out a few years ago, the zan branded out cosmetic / skin care brand : Shang Hwa Tain set a record of selling 300 millions of their product in one day at one apartment store - SOGO, the skin care product claimed to be showered or blessed by the regional , customer who wish to buy it must take a fotunre telling process, and the sales rep will match you wirh the best fit product for you and they also claim to have certain treatment function , of course, such a promotion brought the attending from governmental authority , in the end, they retreat from SOGO and open it's retail store , and the skin care product is back up by the little temple I am going to visit yesterday afternoon !
It hind somewhere between San chin county and Tamsui , if you follow the google map, this is what we did , it's not so hard to find ,we arrived by 4:00 pm, 3 hours before it close , the environment and set up were so elegant , it's been there for 10 years , from the temple itself , you can tell the quality it want to present by carefully check the material they use for building the main hall, we know nothing about the temple or religion , but saw many people conduct the fortune drawing , well, why not in Rome do as Romas do, it's a bit complicate than otter place, you have to draw it 3 times from 3 different drawing content, guess what ? The paper I pick fit my current situation so well, do what I enjoy with passion and helps are on the way !

What's been done

a trace back routine comes again. let's started from what happen last night.
I bought a few DVD from Shanghai, the pirate DVD wasn't my favorite choice as the experience encounted wans't a pleasent one, the experice before are : can't play, bad quality and terrible Chinese translation ( or even in it's original language ), So I gave up the " what not try it " thinking and get rid of buying other cheap pirate DVD in China, but this time in Shanghai, I was conveniece by the store owner, they run a normal DVD store, not like those vendors occpuied dark corner and you probable won't see the same guy again. so, with his guareenty, I bought a few DVD back, guest what? the shop owner is right, the DVD 9 quality and the Chinese Translation are to my surprise, so precise and so excelllent in its quality demostration, and on top of that, I even get the chance to preview some of the movie which is not release in Taiwan yet. such as the film me and me wife enjoyed at home : The whishow blower , a great film disclose the dark and dirty story about the UN peace keeper organization at Sariyaber - thoese contractor who engaged with UN and send the solider of fortune they who become human trafficter and conduct some terrible crime in the peace keeping zone. the DVD I bought were so good in its quality present, but for the film itself, wasn't the same story, you can really counting on the cast - follow the whishor blower, we watch one Bruce Wills / 50 cents featured movie " Set Up" I was wondering why this new movie wasn't show in TAIWAN, after a few eposide, both me and my wife realized why, this is a very lousy film.. but as I said, the quality wasn't bad, so, half falling sleep, me and my wife finish this film before going to bad.
presumely, me and my wife would like to go somewhere near the beach after my lunch with Kevin Peng yesterday, however, the front dest cleak at Water Gym ruin my day, I always wait Meiling at the rest area before she do her hair , but yesterday, the cleak warn me that the rest area is for members only - I am so upset and turn away and find myself some place to rest my food, but there's no mood for any sceneary activity. same as Meiling, who show me our new Wolkswagon - Passat CC - one of the tire logo were stolen, same as the BMW situation before. so....
Sunday is a good day, " Hold my hand " is the documentary film I always want to bring my wife to go with, we did on Sunday morning, this is the great documentary, Doctor Tien and Mama Tien are so in love and the love trencent to have Mama Tien follow every step Doctor Tien wish to, she even out perform what Doc. expected, follow socila movement, activity involved in resure of political prinsnor, and so so in love with Dr. Tien. I shed tear at the theather so many times. really a very touching documentary, I am not comment on any political bias or any propoganta on the film, in the era of mistery, only greatest mind will show the spirit.
one movie is not enought, after our Fukenese lunch at one very old restaurant, we decided to go to Happiness Theater for the second run movies, we did thress - Bounre, Katirina and Those days, I enjoy Katiran very much, as it is a cult film follow Luc Besson's influence. yest, vilence with style. that's my Sunday, day after the trip to Shanghai.
Last Saturday - in the morning, I do the closing report for New Wide group and leave for the airport earlier, enjoy one recreation and slept on the plan, no much happening on Saturaday in Shanghai.
Friday morning as scheduled, we meet Adam Hung - Dean of Xing Wei colleage Shanghai and I learn a lot about the challenge Xingwei and Ming is facing now:
1. to re-position Xinwei and to give the brand a new life.
2. to maintain lincence and sacrifice with income but manage to secure better student from the market.
3. to reshape the faculty, some of the non qualifed teacher must leave, how to?
4. to get the student they want, the recurting process were block by a few broker or agent
5. to support facalty run school admi, the funder can do nothing.
6. to convenience the parent who's holding the key to there kid. their must be a way to deliver the value with win-win situation
I am willing to grand my support, and I am thinking how to?
to show my gratitue to csr teams who support the New Wide Chang Chew consensus workshop, I buy the team a good lunch and follow with Pu Uer tea session - Dien She Chai Shanghaines restaurnt and Da Ko Tung Tea Club - the 2 places where we conduct our Forum sessions. I return to Motel 168 - yes, the hotel csr offers, and really do nothing.
Consensus working at New Wide Cheng Chew is a success event, I can tell from the attendee and expecially at the final stage with Executive VP Mr. Ho. it's good to deliver a quality program by end of the training session, the build up session gave me great confience in better polish it and take it as a series to sale to other company. I better work the progress out before I forget every detail.
Tapei Forum Fundemental is a good session also : John - the VC and Family bought him a Bank is an interested person / Hubert - the owner of Ambassedor Hotel and other investment may continue with my service / Eric - Son of the famous cotton sock maker is a sincere person and Jack - who come for bounding and open help to mingul each other.
Hard work make difference, Practice and practice make the different, I learn a great way. Lee Hom's concert ticket to James is a good gesture, I am glad that they really enjoy it.

My responsiblity and future role

I don't know why the Chinese New Year's overseas trip will be the querrel point between me and Meiling? as she said that she knew it will end up this way - by the last moment, I will say NO to her,but I don't know why she said I am the tirest and hard working person who support the family, but willing to spend 300.000 NT for a " must but not from my viewpoint " decision? we didn't have big fight, but she is not happy and always lead to her narrow thinking, will it be problem to me? I don't know, but it's a problem to her : since this is a Fact - I am now working on my own and earn every penny with my effort. to support this family ain't easy, and she knew that to please my parent wasn't a right thing to do, or to put it this way, not a right moment / timing to do - we have no money, if the 300.000 can be saved, we may have additional 3 months living allowance, so, why we MUST spend it this way?, this is a big Why to me? anothe behavior , or she forget in the early days, we spending money to buy the intimacy from my parent to her, but it's all in vain, at that time, we afford to do it, but today, the overall family financial situation won't allow me to enjoy this luxury, why the old habit come to hit us again, this is why I can't understand.
But I am much mature than before, it doesn't impact so much on my dairy routines, this morning, the breakfast coaching / discussion session is good for both me and Steve, I think to bring him to Randy and Ming's project is good - a high level consultant for Education and Training Consulation market in China is vital for us.
Esoterism weekly meeting go as usual, not much touch upon detail or to raise sharp questions in between, I am thinking to add or reduce question is good or bad? but I did tell every founder that I enjoy the moment with them and wish to develop a personl coaching time with them on monthly basis. should consider to do it now. as next monthly meeting conflict with my Warsaw schedule. I am asking for a postpone date, hope it works for everyone.
Eric Tseng call and invited me for the training on Feb. 3/4/5/- the 3rd Regional Mandarin Forum retreat training, I set the schedule with Eric next Tuesday to go over the overall Retreat itinerary - now the training commitment is growing. I should do it as better as possible.

I feel good

Target selection for New Wide Group in Taipei is a great success, compare with what I did in Chung Chew on Oct. 19 ( exactly one month ago ), I felt relax and released, thanks to the new team members- Chi How and Pamela and the book ' talent is overrated " which inspire me that " only practice make the difference ", I control the time and pace in a great way, and I can see the 2 owner of the company - Tony Huang and Anglela Chuang appreciate what I did on Sat. - they stay for the entire course, really.
Family return to a rapport way - I gave Sound a big hung while saw him in Friday afternoon, Meiling brought her to pick me up afterwork. we had dinner together and yesterday, Sound make toast for us - using the toast machine.
After training, Fruit asked if I may take her to lunch - she missed the Japnaese Deep Fried Pork Rib. no a problem at all, she discloved her recent activity in colleage life and told now she is seeing someone - a 3 years college boy at the same school. as long as she is mature and happy, what can we ask for more?
Doing Team Building slides now and prepare YPO coming Fundementl Workshop on Tuesday, such an intenstive scheudle, but I really enjoy it - with passion and add on practice, you will finally achieve what you aim for.

SteveJobs bio and the book reading seminar

Celine and Kim arrange book reading seminar with Steve Job bio publisher : Common Wealth, they told me this is the chance to do a PR - Media for what I am doing now - executive coach or tranining consultant. I am not against this proposal, but the rationale can't really stir me up: first, I have to present myself as the " Victim of Steve Job Era " and to trace back the hey days of music and how it dramatically replaced by itune and many of the music elite lost their job due to jobs? am I be the spoke person for those music elite? or claim to be among them? for both identiy won't do my any good unless I have sense of humon and great skill in facilitation. then I have to invite my friends ( those who in YPO and enjoy fame and fortune ) to either donate their time or money in participaing on the panel- for this, I am not sure what's behind Celine's mind.
I fully agree to leverage what Jobs' legecy impact on earth and in this part of world, but I am not sure should I hijack this topic and to claim it a " rights " to exercise, this is pretty much short-sighted and kind of opportunitism, not my favorable thing to do.. and beside, I havn't read the book and have no confidence to finish reading soon. what potion to take on this proposal?
consensus workshop Team Building preparation meeting held yestearday, it last 3 hours, thanks to Celine, Chi How and Jae's contribution, it turn out a better organized project , I am not sure if Pamela qualifed to be a " Project leader "? or just follow what's been asked and get thing done? I am in the oberservation stage still. however, the rehearsal session with Pamela in the morning in regard to the target selection training session went quite well, with her input / participating and role play, it gave me a good chance to revise and smooth some slide and teaching point..you need all kinds of mirrow all the time. be humble and you will learn.
I am gradually coming back to a working mood, Meiling is suffering, so, this is a complementary role, always someone to support the other one, family issue is an never ending story. don't want to address too much, I have too much to do now.
Randy is creating the contact mood with me, which I like it. Beijing Mandarin Forum should be a great start.

This morning I went for Esoterism regular meeting – my second time to the meeting and to breathe the air 2 founder and one strategic planner did, this is what I found:
1. CEO is not running the meeting, or not prepare to run a meeting, maybe free style is the style , but it worried me that if they are playing with other people’s money.
2. Design and production head have problem with marketing / sales head – the 2 founders don’t have alignment in product roadmap and the forecast of the business.
3. No set of priorities along with the strategic planning or resource deployment, the money is here, maybe they are not aware of the new responsibility is at hand right now. Or I am over concern?
4. Organization development along with the product and business forecast. Another issue these guys need to figure it out as soon as possible.
I need 4 more weeks to see the quality of this team, and to get to know what’s in Steve’s mind – it seems to me he is communicate between 2 founders but reluctant to spend more time on this company. If Steve left, then what will happen next?
Maggie Shu called me up while I check in Bund on the riverside hotel this afternoon, Maggie told me Denis Handlin is or will be in Taiwan for the search – for next man running greater china for Sony Music, I have the passion to explore before, but when thinking it over and over, I can’t answer 2 question below :
1. Why I leave Music industry in 2000?

Wake up by 8:00 am, neither early nor late, as I am taking the sick compensation rest – a comfort to myself, so, feeling less guilty not to take exercise in the morning or make a change of wake up earlier.
When receive Rayne’s mail about copy Jack on the meeting note, I can sense the Esoterism development will be a tough road, maybe Rayne is a micro-management style person, but to have Jack to perform the role in scrutinize the company which he took the majority share. Again, what worried me is : founder will then transform themselves to worker / employee, losing of entrepreneur momentum will be a lose-lose game. How I may change it? Or in what role I should actively involve. Will my consultant fees lead Rayne to a “split the pie with management team together “ and ask Jack to reach his hand deeper in the new start up? I am not sure, but since I am now involved, the only way to go is up – helping the company to achieve what it claim to be. With milestone set and with contingency plan in place – just as what I share with Meiling – to be the marriage broken is not a good job, once the couple develops unhealthy relationship, you will be point finger. Same as the investing broker – you say and draw a picture to invite others, and then the thing turn to a non-controllable stage, and you know it happened all the time. What can we do different to win the war in the brand / design initiative?
Finally get my China mobile credit up to 300 RMB, its quite simply, but you never try so you never know. Fooled by the 2nd floor service even thought I am having cold still.

Beijing Mandarin Forum pilot meeting is an unique experience, I wasn't sure if my contribution mean anything to Lucy double. Randy, Monita and Robert, but I am pretty sure this is a right thing to do. no matter how the outcome will be, this probabely will be the most desplice governed Forum in China.
Attending Esoterism weekly meeting yesterday, I had a sense that Ryne will be there, suprising on his birthday he show up for this very minor investment.. and I sense the uncomforable ambience floating arond, this is a scurnitize management meeting and the majority shareholder and Chairman is action on his interest. I am not sure if the so call : Creative and Innovation driven funders will be happy with what they see. I throw out one question -- how we going to raise next fund? what value we will bring to next potencial investor and current shareholders? why saying so, not because I am passimistic about the business performance, but I am aware of if the funder and management team didn't pay attention to the P and L, then the money needed will come before burning out Ryne's 15 millions NT investment. Steve is in charge of strategy, admi and finance, he should be very clear about what's going on here.
Doing my first interveiw anchor to NEW Wide yesterday in the afternoon. for Sunny - Executive Director and Agenla Chuang - Preseident and mother who run the diaring operation for New Wide. this inverview is for prepare the Chang Chew Team Building materia and to get the " Focus Question " before the date: Nov. 24th. Angela share with me more than I expect , she cadid share me how she see the managment team in Chun Chew and her concerns:
- Factory Chief is not ambitious to deal with challenge or difficulty, and sometimes to costmetic the data - this is not the way Miss Chuang want to see.
--New Factory chief on board for less than 6 months, Angela think he is not qualify to manage the entire factory as too conservertive and square to what he only see, not bold or with vision to handle this new and revolutionary line
-- Direcot Ho - the promising talent is the one who should be futher developed and to Angela , his performance and capability is better than VP in the company.
-- MA - Manager assistant - new blood and young talent is what New Wide play high hope with, how to nurture them and keep the high energy

Trouble about sound

Sound is enchanting teenager rebel period, on at 9 grade , he need to focus on first important entrance examination , however , he didn't tKe it seriously ! When review what went wrong and try to find the answer upon us, I identify a few clues that might lead him to a non responsive today :
1. We think he is working or study too hard at s hook, Home is the place to relax, so we never against his will to do whatever he enjoy at home , such as : watch PPS, take very long bath ( yes, something is takes half of the day ),
2. We never asked if any homework he need to finish before retiring to school: as a matter of fact, on the parent communication booklet, there is homework always , he never done it and we never ask
3. Try to please him too much : such as provide hike my iPad , iPhone games
4. Never create quality time to review life or his activity in school : what I did most as routine is bring him to movies or eslite book store and set him free : we don't create time to share or discuss.
We change our wrong doing one by one and this action taken result to his unpleasant at home, when found he is hiding some games carriage and plan to exchange with classmate , this really disappointing me, his mother telling a lie to school manager to protect him , how come his didn't think it over, I lost the trust in sound , and it need a decent time to regain it.
CD matter gone over, she return to the way she think is better for her life and I am free from any non supportive responsibility .
NCCU class complete yesterday, student were so commit to conduct the presentation they prepared , the free lunch is a magic, kind of perfect ending.
Going to bei tou with mewling after sending fruit to Taipei railroad station, our family have 2 meal over the weekend, the steak house lunch was so disappointing , but meiling asked my mon out , for years we did it to demonstrate to our child, and the early dinner after movie " in time " I checked the English vocabury capability for SOUND and Fruit , it's so terrible , I am not sure how they can survive with what they learn.

Went for the blood draw yesterday morning, I can't resist for what must be done, proscrate is a very bad habit, it must get rid of immediately.I thought the blood draw will take hour, but it came so fast, why everyone is hurry up for the blood drawing in the early morning - the experiece encounterd lead me to an wrong perception or believe - according to the Nur Doctore express on TED Eintingberg - I watch it last last night and learn one thing: Why do we need brain ? the function of brain is to decide our movement. and the musule movement were define by 2 things : Data Now and Memory - to combine current data with what happened before ( the memory ) brian will Predict the future and instruct our musule to funtion that way - he took the tennes player's sport action to illustrate it. quite an educational learning.
I learn something from Lin Yu Tong's writing about Su Tong Ber - one of the greates poetist, politician and literatur master in Sung Dynasty - together with his younger brother and father, 3 of them were among the top 8 masters across Tang and Sung Dynasty. If not for showing my " It's OK " face to Jay and Eugenia, I wouldn't been able to appreciate the great music Jason brought to me, yes, at 51, it's hard to be pleased or moved by music - the source I used to drink a lot, but what Jason did last night was so powerful and impactful, I am fully convenience by his musical talent. not from her appearacne - as a matter of fact, he dress down with Cova to demostrate a tramp apporch for this accoustic performance. COCO's wedding

we are one of the 350 guests invite to attend COCO'S Wedding in HONG KONG last weekend, invitation were sent 6 months before the wedding ,as brace mentioned at the Studio party, it's not a " if " but a when question for the marring coco. now coco call herslef coco wizcolz , not Bruce Lee . and I am going to write it up before memory dilute.
as they said, the wedding is for shows there appreiction thoughout the years who directly help her build to what she is today, so, the wedding invitation clearly memtioned that " please refrain from prepare your gift '.
Meiling and I taking the EVA air to HK on Friday -28th morning, the plan arrived on HK Chiteck airport on time - 12:05. as mentioned on the arrival notice, the airport land duty staff awaiting us outside the cabinet with a sign-board, we jump on the shuttle to the immigration and escort all the way to the limo which we send us to the hoell - Rits-Calton Hong Kong, the most expensive and high quality hotel. we checked in at the lounge - location on 116 floor, yes - very high, and were told to use the ameties and 5 accomodation throught our stay - the lounge open 24 hours, and serve from breakfast to last night suppet, after a refleshment - some drink and good tasting sandwitch, we again, been escort to our room at 117 floor. a great harbor view with mordern decoration and facility.
the wedding service team is like this : 400 on the management team and 200 on the entertainment team service for total of 350 guests. you can call it a centery wedding with no exagatration.
we stayed at our luxury room until 5 pm, ( we check in the room around 2:00 pm ), Meiling is doing her hair and I buy time to enjoy the new round of louge service, and this is good. according to the " Studio " night guidebook, we have to assemble at 116 between 5:45 to 6:00 pm before they process the security and arrange car to the venue - Shaw Studio, Meiling and I bound into Antonio and his wife, we have a round of conversation before the car.. and you know what, at the lobby floor waiting for car, Meiling need to go to toilet and I am accommpany her there, this 10 minutes delay make a difference - when coming up for the new queqe, Antonio point me to the car which start to move - this is where Mama Lee, Nancy and Carol were accomodate, I approach for the greeting - I am afraid the crowd may not lead us to greet each other at the party, so, I lean in and wave my hands. Mama and the family not only scoll down the window but insist to have us in the car with them.. the 30 minutes ride is the good change to recap ana to rebuild the relationsip with the family, it's like the old days and I am glad the time we catch is the right moment to do.
Shaw Studio party is the highlight of coco's wedding. for this I will do it latter.
all I can say is : this is a very expensive wedding.

Esoterism Board meeting

Finally, at 4 pm yesterday, the new E. board established and I am invited to be insititutional representative from Ta Ya -Ryne's company and sit on the new board, as the meeting process, Ryne raised the issue of my role to the board and company - to activity communicate with mangament team , so in this fashion, the company should compensate me with a package relevent to market , which means, I will get paid from the new company as executive director for the board.
however, when Steve Lin report on the 2 millions loan should refund instead of convert to share , Ryan pad my shoulder and asked the positon I am willing to acquire - well, this is another issue to me. to return all the fave with investment , at least I have 2 months to digest it and won't be a trouble tomorrow

2 weeks on the road?

my post to blog were recorded on Oct. 10th, which means I am away from my personal monioring schedule for 2 plus weeks, this is a very long break as far as I know, so,it is difficult to recall all the trivial things happend during the window, I will try to recap from yesterday:
I took a day off yesterday,, to compensate it as a make-up Sunday after returning from China, Meiling and I left home around 12:00 and decided to take our routine - Northern East coast drive, for what's different this time, let me tell you about it:
1. Fu Long lunch box, it's crowded as before even on week days, the gentlemen who line in front bought 50 of them, so, the queqe is not moving for certain time, it test your patient,nobody's faught, you just need to be patient for the 55 NT lunch box.
2. We didn't stop at Mr. Brown cafe', instead, we identified a new place - Amimoto cafe and home stay cafe', a very nice corner with great view to the Taiwan Strait, it's a transformation of new industry - from the " Fix Fishing zone " to a service - oriented fishnary business - seafood / B&B . we had coffee and the brelay there, a great hide away place - we managed to read for about an hour, this is by far the longest Meiling can take-- it take time to grow your interesed in reading - alone in quite place.
3. Da Shi fish market: we visit this fisher man market several times, as tourist and to taste some ready-made sea food, but this time, to our surprise , we encounter with the sales, yes, the fishman return and loading their product for auction , wholesale or retail, we were among the mix-customers and get a great chance to see the unique scene, and yes, we bought a few fish - so fresh.
returning to Taipei by 6 :30 pm, Meiling cooked the fish for my dinner and she went for the exercise, I am reading Nan Hui CHin'g " Da Shung ".. yes, a good book again.
Sunday morning, went for my second term as the teaching for " Music marketing and Internatioanl Development " at Chen Chi University, as I promote the " consensus workshop " and process the " Forming, Storming, Forming , Performaing " stage with the particpate, this is the first time to test the outcome, I am so surprise to see the presentation on site, I deliver a 90 degree bow to all the students and I am so impressed about how they prepare and deliver the value to all the classmate.
After the teach, return home and tell Sound how we should face the challenge - as a man and as a person with responsibility, he is too lazy, non responsible to his duty as student, I seldom give him such a hard time, but I have to, as his father, I should honest tell him what's my role and what will be his.. Meiling is quite disappointing and share her feeling with me on Sunday night, until 2 in the morning. seeing Sound off to the school but, we drove to Shen Shen Cemina for the movie " Toast" this is the film I always want to see and yes, a great film, it touch the father / mother / step-mother / son's relationship and with great music as it's calyslit, I am so glad to see it with Meiling, the chef is now a famous one, and his reveal sexual orientation and how he learn to cook is an inspiring story

Les Enphant Monday

James didn't have chance talking to me in Shanghai on the week of Aug. 22, neither do I, when returned last week, send him a text message in regard to the appointment, so, he set the meeting on Monday, this is how I see his management style , or I saw his change in managing things:
Irene is the head of HR - A director in Les Enphant , James begin with a greeting, how's thing going last time in Shanghai, I can sense he is in a hurry, so, without further explain, I share what Irene and I go over when we met the first time 3 weeks ago, I did most of the part, such as : Executive Team Building and Coaching service I am offering, and rephrase what Irene response, the recreation of the conversation without mood or face is difficult , this is a good practice for communication, as I did on last weekend for New Wide. then I address a few changes such as done some for CKC and the New Wide project : Introduce myself with a " Communication " Speech / workshop and follow with 2 custom made project : Target Selection and Team Building. for this part, Irene is not happy with, because I change or customize customer need - this is what she didn't know before or the main reason why she shut down the door.James is quick in making decision - whether a decision to kick the ball or to do me a favor, he instructed Irene to set up my " Communication Workshop " on Oct. 21 at Chung Ming Island - Shanghai, Irene is kind of reluctant to follow and say something about " Spencer might have his own idea ", James kick the ball back and insist to do it at once. James then return to his board meeting, Irene accompany me down the elevator and leave the message : I will check with Spencer whether the topic - communication suit there need .. yes, even James agree and insist, there are land mill still to be clear. for this, I don't see Les Enphant a big customer but a boutique customer to be list on my customer list - to leverage in some way.
James renovated his office - modernizer and sack of wine wooden case put aside , I can see he is enjoy life and spend less time with the business, I don't know, but for a professional this is not a good sign.
Gary Wang called me up before my meeting with James, asked if I am interested to take the COO position at A-1 multi-media chain? this is a DVD rental and I knew the owner long time ago, well, I am not saying No, but to take time to think, it worth chatting but not to take the position, COO is what?
Lunch with Luis and Kevin for the Himalaya Foundation follow up - I met Kevin 30 minutes before Luis show up and learn a new things : Kevin want to secure his future first, got a teaching job and at the same time take the foundation's executive role, as for the portion of each, depend on the real scenario once we conduct the fund raising, Kevin even asked what not ME to take the Chairman's role? I reply to him that I am not in the position of raising fund and not able to show people how great I am , I am not there yet. Kevin need to follow a few administrative things and I need to do it together as well.
Vicky's second talk at Howard Plaza cafe' is a good one, at least I unveil the mask of what elite PR really need and what's on Vicky's agenda, to be very frank with Vicky, I told her that since she is here with me, the importance of matter escalate, but as the coaching or public speaker market is not what in her job description, once return to Shanghai, this will be easily scale down or even fade away, probably, she should think what's real product or solution they can deliver for their customer in China. such as :

I almost forget this appointment and said to Meiling the the first appointment is at Howard Plaza Hotel, so, I don't need to go anywhere before 11 am. thanks God I recall it when brush my teeth .
Sunday night is the EMBA 10th anniversary , almost 100 of graduate get together for a drink, yes, the food is bad, the place is bad and the admi fee is high : 2000. met a few long lost classmate such as : Ko Wen Ching now work at Chairman's office as Chief Audit Officer, M. Ko from MOEA who didn't contact us most , now we know the reason, he lost her life a few years ago, since graduate, his wife suffer from cancer and Ko have to accompany with her on the terminal stage. Ben Chiang who is keen in the C-Next - documentary festival development , we have a good talk and he share with me that he divorce with his wife 3 years ago - due to his nature of work and travelling so frequently . Professor Le Chi Ren said is so well : In EMBA - student among us are teacher, teachers with us are friend.
Return to Taipei from Puli and take a stop at Chu Nan on our way back. visit the old market, buy myself 3 books at local book shop and take some local delicacy. the night before were the Parent day in Putai high school. the B&B we book this time is Cheng Lung Winery, nice building, during the breakfast, met a parent from Singapore, exchange some interest idea. yes... why bother to perform gesture to new person?

It's Oct. 28, our original plan is to eat at the restaurant where our wedding banquest took place, however, when checking the menu, there's no dish like " Stew Turtle fish ", so I send message to Meiling and suggest change to the " One Dragon " restaurant located at Shemengting, and may go to the movie after the dinner.

went to second run movie with Meiling last night again, to the happiness cinema at San Chung - I want to see the ' BARRIA " An Italian film, and epic to me and a great dream also. we follow with the Japanese movie : SP, a good one also. return home around 11:20, we were so tired.

my way for communication

The more I dig the topic, the more I realized the awareness inside it much important than external environment check. that's why the motivation inspired me to do a " Why we can't listen " slide to deliver how I detect such a finding and how it can be changed for a better / effective communication : in the western dogtrim , effective communication is the only reason why we train ourselves to become a better communicator but seldom touch upon the inner part of " Why ", my slide is : our heart have been covered with lit, so, we hardly listen, and we use our brain too much, focus on right or wrong but not to the person who deliver the message and to take empathy in listening. and why our hearts' been covered? 2 reasons :
1. We are not modesty / humble to listen to what we think we already know.
2. We are not honest enough to listen to the " candid " words , cause it hurts most of the time.
so we either ignore or defend, it keep our ear close and our heart sealed, how come we can really listen?
I did almost all the slides again and to make assumption, take notes and create tips and jokes to each page, as I learned before, there is not such thing like over-preparing, I am aiming a anchor after the speech, this is the goal I am going to achieve on Saturday.
CK is so great who join the entire session with us yesterday afternoon, with Jack and Celine in regard to the " Culture and Creative Fund management company ", the blur anbience bring the session a very ambiguity in the very beginning, I try to smooth the situation and after I left for the Himalaya Foundation meeting, I was told by Celine, the meeting last until 7:30 pm, and CK did a great work / contribution to our friendship. I should send him a Thanks You note now.
Luis Chen and I met with Mr. Han again late last evening, re-literate our goal to revamp Himalaya Foundation and to keep the spirit going, Mr. Han agreed with the direction and asked me again : for the no pay job, how's the feeling from Meiling? Accidentally met Tony Huang - Group Chairman of New Wide at the elevator when going down for the meeting at 6 floor, Tony with me with a smile and welcome me in person, without notification, he interrupt to our meeting and asked if he can relay some " Classic Jokes ", sure, why not, he share 3 color jokes , yes, we are all man so beat it, but he also point out a few philosophy of his own:
1. People who can deliver joke in public is tend to be man with passion
2. Sharing is the culture of New Wide, there is no almighty in New Wide, we invited the best to speech, so, we want to be sure they are among the best
3. On every encounter, people must leave benefit or product value to other and make they want to see him again
4. People always remember him - man with great joke always - the remarks
5. Training and Development is the key to New Wide, a group subscriber for decade on EMBA magazine...
I felt lucky to meet him in advance without notice, it gave me an added value in prepare my coming speech, at least, I know I should prepare some jokes - good jokes and practice my speech in order to make it pay off - the meeting set up with Hanes and Tim were good, the more you prepared, the less you worried.
